Is It Worth It? Ryobi Leaf Blower Review

When it comes to electric leaf blowers, there’s really two categories. I realized this while testing out a few blowers in different price ranges. First, you have lightweight, inexpensive leaf blowers. These will cost below $50 but they’re really only adequate for small areas such as side yards or short driveways. Second, you have higher power, more expensive blowers. These are better for full front or backyards. This is the category of the Ryobi leaf blower.

In this article, we’ll explore the pros and cons of the Ryobi leaf blower. I’ll tell you all about my experience using it in my backyard and compare that to other blowers that I’ve tested.

Do We Recommend The Ryobi Leaf Blower?

Yes, whether you’re cleaning up an entire backyard or a small area, this is a great choice. If you are looking to clear a balcony or small driveway, you can certainly save money with a smaller leaf blower. However, the Ryobi leaf blower has outstanding performance. This Ryobi model and the Worx WG520 are my two favorite electric leaf blowers.

Pros & Cons Of Ryobi’s Leaf Blower

Ryobi’s leaf blower is more powerful than most electric options. It has two settings, a normal power and a turbo mode. The turbo is great when trying to move wet leaves or large piles. The standard mode is still better than most other electric blowers.

This leaf blower is very quiet compared to the power output you receive. For similar performance, you usually have to deal with a loud blower. Electric models are always quieter than gasoline-powered leaf blowers.

The Ryobi battery is strong enough to fulfill a large backyard in a single charge. I have never experienced a problem with low battery while blowing leaves in my yard. However, I always charge my leaf blower’s battery in between sessions.

The biggest con of the Ryobi leaf blower is the price. It’s a premium product and therefore, has a premium price tag. If you’re really looking to save money, the Worx WG520 will be a better option. It also has high performance and costs less.

Here is my review of the Ryobi electric leaf blower. I cover everything from installing the battery to testing it out in my backyard and garage. As you’ll see, it’s a large electric leaf blower.

How Much Does The Ryobi Leaf Blower Cost?

The Ryobi electric leaf blower has a retail price of $159.99. However, it is frequently discounted on Amazon. At the time of writing this review, it’s currently hovering around $100. This is much more expensive than competition such as the Worx, which retails for $79.99. It’s also possible to find electric leaf blowers for as low as $30. However, the Ryobi is far superior in power than these options.

How To Put Battery On Ryobi Leaf Blower?

Putting the battery on the Ryobi leaf blower is extremely simple. On the outside sleeve of the leaf blower, the battery slides right on and clicks in place. You can see how to put on the battery in my review video at 17 seconds.

Ryobi Leaf Blower Review Summary

Overall, the Ryobi is neck and neck with the Worx for the best electric leaf blower I’ve seen. It’s extremely power and is worth every penny. I am a big fan of Ryobi’s entire electric lawn care product line. If you’re set on electricity over gasoline, they’re the highest performance. I personally use the Ryobi leaf blower constantly to move grass clippings, clean out my garage and push leaves around.
