AIPER is a prominent brand in the robotic pool cleaner space. Like many others, they have multiple robots on the market. Each AIPER model has a different purpose and price point. We like to think of these models like lawn mowers. You can opt to purchase the standard, simple mower or you can look for something automatic with additional features. With over 20 years of pool building/cleaning under our belts, we’re here to help you understand which AIPER cleaner is best for your pool.
A Guide To Every Aiper Pool Cleaner Available
AIPER began with simple, affordable robotic pool cleaners. Their original model was well under $300. This is very inexpensive in the world of robotic pool cleaners. It was made for small and flat above ground pools. However, after some success, AIPER continued developing and now has a line of 5 main pool cleaners along with some accessories.
When it comes to cleaning your pool with AIPER, you need to decide between the Seagull SE, Scuba SE, Seagull Pro, Scuba E1 and Scuba S1. The Segull Pro, Scuba E1 and Scuba S1 are objectively more impressive than the Seagull SE and Scuba SE. However, that doesn’t mean you need them to clean your pool. These higher performance cleaners also come with a higher price. Therefore, if you can achieve what your pool needs with a Seagull SE or Scuba SE, you’ll save a few hundred dollars.
2024 AIPER Pool Cleaner Models
Now let’s review what distinguishes each AIPER pool cleaner. Certainly there are prices vary widely. This is because each model is for different purposes. As the price climbs, the sophistication of the pool they can clean also increases.
Above Ground Pools: Scuba SE, Seagull SE & Scuba E1
These AIPER pool cleaner models is are designed for above ground pools. In fact, the Scuba SE and Seagull SE are remarkably similar. Each can clean up to 860 square feet of pool space in a single 90 minute charge. They operate exclusively on pool floors, so they cannot climb and clean pool walls.
The differences between the Scuba SE and Seagull SE are minimal. First, the Seagull SE takes only 2.5 hours to charge whereas the Scuba SE takes 3 hours, 30 minutes longer. Next, the Scuba SE is equipped with an audio alert system while the Seagull SE only features an LED light indicator.
If you have a small above ground pool, stick with either the Scuba SE or Seagull SE. The more expensive AIPER pool cleaner options will be overkill. In our opinion, due to the slight lower price, choose the Scuba SE.
- SMALL BUT MIGHTY: The compact but powerful device easily cleans pools up to 860 sq.ft pool and provides 90 minutes of superb cleaning. Ideal for above-ground and flat floored inground pools
- CORDLESS & EASY TO USE: One-Click activation keeps your hands completely free. Unlike other pool cleaner, the Scuba SE is completely cordless, meaning no wrapped or tangles wires. Its also lighter and easier to store than corded cleaners
However, what if your above ground pool is larger than 860 square feet? In this case AIPER has created the Scuba E1. This is their top line solution for above ground pools. The Scuba E1 is suitable for pools up to 1,100 square feet and has a battery life of up to 130 minutes.
While the features are more impressive than the Scuba SE and Seagull SE, there is a big price jump. You’ll typically pay two times what those models cost for the Scuba E1. Although if you have a large above ground pool, it may be worth the investment. It’s very annoying to have to run your pool cleaner twice and wait for it to charge every time you want to clean your pool.
Inground Pools: Seagull Pro & Scuba S1
AIPER started with above ground pool cleaners but they didn’t end there. In fact, they quickly applied their technology to more sophisticated, inground pool cleaners too. The Scuba S1 is the way to go in our opinion. It’s equally impressive performance and lower price make it a better decision than the Seagull Pro.
However, both the Scuba S1 and Seagull Pro feature similar capabilities. They both have a 2.5 hour battery life and can clean pools up to 1,600 square feet. Furthermore they can each clean pool walls and waterlines unlike their the above ground AIPER pool cleaner offerings.
Aesthetically the two models are very different. The Scuba S1 resembles the Dolphin Nautilus with treadmill style sides connecting the front and back wheels. Whereas the Seagull Pro looks closer to a WYBOT model with two large wheels in the front and back. It’s worth noting that AIPER outperforms each of these competitors on corded vs. cordless design and battery life, respectively.
- Optimal Cleaning Performance: Experience the pool cleaning power of the Aiper Scuba S1 pool vacuum robot’s powerful suction and dynamic scrubbing capabilities. An ultimate robotic pool cleaner for pool’s floor, walls, and waterline. The generously sized filter basket efficiently traps both large debris and fine particles and provides you with crystal-clear water for a pristine pool experience.
- Upgraded WavePath Navigation 2.0: We’ve taken WavePath Navigation to a whole new level on Scuba S1 by optimizing cleaning routes of the cordless pool vacuum to cover the entire pool while minimizing cleaning time by following an intelligent path, avoiding unnecessary overlaps and miss.
AIPER Pool Cleaner Guide Summary
Now you’re well equipped to find the right AIPER pool cleaner. The answers are rather simple once you break down what type of pool you have. For above ground, the Scuba SE is tailored to you. If you have an inground pool, the Scuba S1 will fit your needs the best.
AIPER may not be a household name like Dolphin, but they are an innovative and cordless alternative. Each year they make an effort to upgrade the most important features of their pool cleaners. Lastly, despite their performance metrics, they are almost always a lower cost than the competition.
